With a diameter less than that of the Military M1 model, the Bell & Ross Military M2 chronograph was designed for NATO helicopter pilots. All of its technical and functional characteristics meet German DIN industrial standards, including resistance to impact and magnetism, accuracy, water-resistance, dial , crystal, etc.
The Military M2 was produced when Bell & Ross and Sinn had a working relationship and B&R's models we slightly modified Sinn watches. The M2 is based off of the Sinn 256 with slight changes of the dial design, numeral font, and watch hands.
